Was Jesus Married?

I have been in a series of messages on the family all fall, but technically I've been preparing for this all my life.  One of the aspects catching my attention in this study is the comparsion of Christ and His church and a husband/wife.

Ephesians 5:23 "For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church"

Ephesians 5:24 "Just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands."

Ephesians 5:25 "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church..."

Ephesians 5:29 "...just as the Lord does the church."

Here is the question some ask, "Was Jesus married?"

Dr. Karen King, a professor of early Christianity at Harvard Divinity School, released finding regarding a newly found 4th century papyrus fragment, written in Egyptian Coptic, that she suggested offers evidence that Jesus was married.

However "sure" she is of this; nowhere in the Scriptures does it ever suggest Jesus was married.  But here is what thrills me.

Jesus did come to earth to obtain a Bride. No, he did not seek after Mary Magdalene or some other woman on earth; instead, His bride was inside of Him.

Just as Adam was created with a wife inside of his body, so Christ was created with an "Eve" inside of Him.  As Eve became a reality from Adam's side when he feel into a deep sleep, so Christ's bride was realized when Jesus died and water and blood poured from His pierce side.

While Jesus never had a companion by His side on earth, He did have one "in His side."  Other than obeying the Father, His chief passion was to be obedient in all things in order to "birth" His bride.

Eve was formed before Adam sinned;  the bride of Christ was formed with Jesus committing no sin.

And thank God, Jesus is coming again for His bride!!!
