Due to the storms on Wednesday and canceling services, I did not write a blog yesterday so I've decided to combine the Wednesday and Friday blog in this Thursday blog.
I sure hated we had to miss services last night - I was looking forward to speaking to the Students plus another "Truth Project" message. But I will be speaking next Wednesday night to the Students and I look forward to sharing this time with them.
Thank you for all the kind
and well-deserving acts of kindness and love shown to Bro. Craig and Mrs.
Melinda in the past few weeks. We are
thankful for their ministry and are sad to see them go, but we are never
promised to keep the good ministers God sends to us. They, ultimately, work for Him and He has a
right to move them, as He pleases. We
just rejoice for over 5 years this church and community was blessed by the
Whites.
The Personnel Team is
accepting their responsibility to lead the search for our next Student
Pastor. If you have someone you would
like to recommend, try to get a resume and send it to me at my email address,
mail it to the church (in attention of me) or drop it by the office. We will be accepting resumes through May 31.
Let me ask the church family
to engage in prayer as we seek God’s man for this position. God already has someone and we just want to
discover who that is.
During the interim, our Youth
Council has agreed to assume responsibilities for our Student Ministry. Pray for them as they lead.
Senior Recognition will be
Sunday, May 21 in our morning service.
If you have a high school graduate, please fill out the back of the
“Connect Card” in Sunday's bulletin and place it in the offering plate. OR write me an email with the information.
It is very important (because
of the gift we are giving) to know the names of all our high school seniors by
April 23.
If you have a senior
graduating from college, use the same form to let us know who it is, what
college and their degree. We will
recognize them on May 21, too.
